Role Focus

Build interfaces players instantly understand

Mobile games are one of the fastest-growing entertainment markets. NOXGAMES is a Brno-based indie studio with more than 150 released titles and a team that keeps shipping new player-facing experiences.

We are looking for a 2D UI/UX Artist who can take rough concepts and turn them into polished, production-ready interfaces. You should be comfortable working directly in Unity, collaborating with programmers, and thinking beyond static art toward usability and flow.

You should be able to take sketches, rough ideas, and gameplay needs and turn them into polished UI that feels readable, lively, and production-ready.

This role is ideal for someone who likes operating directly in Unity, collaborating with programmers, and shaping real in-game player flows instead of handing off static mockups and stopping there.

  • Turn sketches, wireframes, and rough concepts into polished game-ready art.
  • Create menus, popups, windows, and UI elements directly in Unity.
  • Animate UI and support it with transitions, feedback, and particle systems.
  • Work closely with programmers to deliver functional, readable, and responsive menus.
  • Improve UX by identifying friction and proposing stronger visual solutions for players.
  • Prior professional experience in game development, including indie or small-team work.
  • Strong Photoshop or Affinity skills and a sharp eye for UI clarity and UX.
  • Solid Unity skills and confidence working independently in-engine.
  • Knowledge of Unity animation workflows and particle systems.
  • Entry-level programming literacy and comfort using AI-assisted coding for practical implementation.
  • Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset, and passion for games.
  • Experience shipping UI for mobile free-to-play games.
  • Basic C# scripting or UI logic implementation inside Unity.
  • Experience with motion polish, feedback, and readability tuning.
  • A portfolio that includes shipped UI, menus, HUDs, or interaction flows.
  • The ability to move quickly from concept to final inside a small production team.
  • Fair compensation with attractive performance bonuses.
  • Knowledge sharing and close collaboration across the team.
  • Strong growth potential with mentorship from experienced teammates.
  • Modern offices in central Brno plus coffee, teas, snacks, and weekly breakfasts.
  • Education support, conferences, team events, and minimal bureaucracy.
  • A current CV that clearly highlights your relevant game-development experience.
  • A short motivation letter explaining why this role fits you and how you work with programmers.
  • A portfolio with UI, UX, menus, HUDs, or in-engine game art examples.
Focus on concrete shipped work and show where you helped turn ideas into working in-game interfaces.

Growing Team

Ship interfaces that actually carry the game

NOXGAMES keeps growing across genres and needs artists who can shape not just the look of the interface, but the feel of using it.

If you like moving from sketch to final implementation and want your work to be felt in every player session, this role is the right surface area.
